I was lucky enough to run into Trent at the recent Las Vegas show, and took the opportunity to ask him for his thoughts on the project. As you can hear from the quality of my questions, I was completely unprepared - and, we were interrupted by someone opening the stage door and drowning us out with Jane's Addiction. Since the audio was so bad we only used a fraction in the trailer, but here it is anyway - for the anal collectors out there...(hg)

  • i think the whole nine inch nails thing is related to the personal situation of trent. he looks to have finally found happiness and personal balance, and i think that's not good for the future of the band, at least on touring plans. if i were him, i would be totally dedicated to my wife and children as well as creating more quiet, beautiful music, that's why i understand the person behind the celebrity.

  • It appears he has chubby cheeks during 2009. I liked his earlier look, now he's all buffed out. I guess the chicks like that, but I think it affected his sound hehe.

  • He seems like such a nice and genuine guy...and ridulously bloody talented to boot...

  • 7 people would rather pay a record company for a video release.

  • @SuperRedeyedtreefrog or another person who--for some odd reason--doesn't like the fact that Trent Reznor isn't the skinny, overly depressed, self-destructive and angry person that he used to be. you know--someone who expected him to die (preferably via drug overdose or suicide) before he reached 40, and is severely disappointed that he didn't die young like Kurt Cobain did, because now it's too late to count him as a tortured artist/god who died too young. or something.

  • @beowulven I like how you write your opinion like its fact. Its cute.

  • @beowulven lol. He can write. That's all that matters. No one gives a shit about selling out.

  • @rtfranco

Only someone who cares about an "Oscar", a wholly hollow award, would write something like that. When my friends and I saw NIN open for Skinny Puppy in 1988 we thought, "what the fuck is this lame pop shit?" When I saw NIN in 1990 (opening for The Jesus & Mary Chain) it was worse. 21 years later, it's still soft, Hot Topic shite pop. And now he's fat, unlike my friends and I. Fuck. That. Poser. It's an intelligence test. Listen to Coil.

  • @beowulven WIn an Oscar first and talk shit later please.

  • @beowulven you fucking idiot, he's yolked now. i suggest you see his workout regimend, you jealous gimp, he works out profusely...which is probably more than your handsolo ass does in a year. pwned.
