Veggie Tales clip shows a realistic view of what our "leaders" think of us. It's really not very far fetched considering that this has probably been happening since the beginning of mankind.

  • this is what my kid should be watching veggie tales get him ready for the new world order

  • My comment was too long so I'm putting it in your profile.

  • Just like what Pharoah did in the Bible!

  • @AtarahDerek so thats where its from i finally understand the context. its a cartoon bible class-show and it has nothing to do with genes at all^^

  • @tribidemp If you pick up that handy book known as a dictionary, and look up the word "spoof," you'll discover that no such implication is being made. Or do you also protest Disney and Warner Bros. for implying that not only will falling 200 feet fail to kill you (after a moment of first defying gravity, no less), but the impact of your body will create a hole in the exact shape of your silhouette?

  • @steffankaizer The workers are descendants of Little Joe and his brothers from "The Ballad of Little Joe." "Moe and the Big Exit" is the sequel. The workers represent the Israelites, whose growth Pharaoh tried to curb by killing the Hebrew baby boys. This is actually one of VT's more intense episodes, and the mayor is a particularly dark character for even Nezzer to play.

  • @GenghisKhan44 exactly we don't need the government to do anything we just need to educate the people so they know what they are doing. awesome! that was one successful debate

  • @steffankaizer Hm. That is an interesting way of putting it.

Perhaps education in genetics and what happens when you DO get pregnant would be a better form of contraception and discretion before marriage than any condoms, pills, or abortions.

As a Catholic, I'm not a supporter of the above items, but information on the gene pool... hm. I don't think the GOVERNMENT should be allowed to decide who gets to breed with who, but I don't think there would be any harm in informing the PUBLIC...

  • @GenghisKhan44 i see your point. maybe genes don't play that much of a roll in the forming of a adult person. Still the wild bananas are uneatable. we humans changed them with selective breeding to all the different kinds that have defined properties. but we can't do the same with humans. the individual should select its mate and therefore the gene set of its offspring. we all just have to understand the longterm consequences of this selection. because every individual is a part of this species
