Tobin and Carrot getting bigger, doing well. This is most likely a display of male breeding behavior (chasing/nuzzling) toward a female.

Mine seem to be the other way around too, it's hard to tell as they are both different looking fish, but the one being chased seems to be male (breeding stars, prominent vent) and the other female. The female is also a lot bigger than the male, almost twice the size.

thanks but i think my fish are more confused than me - so basically what happens is after i feed em - one chases the other for abit - then the other way round for a bit and then they swim in a tight circle lol - but i'll keep a closer eye on their behaviour with what you said in mind - ive only had em for 2 months - maybe with time i'll get better - thanks btw

ello is it neccessary that the male chases the female everytime or can it be the other way around too?

Strange, both my male and female chases one another. They're both the same size, and my female usually starts the nuzzing and chasing ><. Maybe the male's a wimpy xD.
