Spetses, the enchanting greek island

Spetses is one of the most beautiful greek islands. The heart of Spetses is the little quaint harbour with its six canons, momentoes of the struggle for independence. Cafes and pattisseries line the waterfront. Its narrow streets are clean and have a lot of small shops selling all kinds of goods and clothes. In the summer months, they are crouded with young people. It has nightlife as it is a cosmopolitan island. It has fascinating sand beaches, such as, Saint Paraskevi, Zogeria, Saint Anargiri, Saint Marina. At the Old Harbour, its fish taverns serve fresh fish.

Mari, thank you for sharing your vid, very beautiful! I have to say out of the 11 European countries I visited, Greece was my MOST favorite of all. I hope to return and visit Spetses as well as the other islands...you are 100% right in that Greeks are hospitable people too! Thanks again!

i visited spetses in 1992 had a brilliant time, no cars just horse drawn carriages,the greek people were very friendly.

in what shape is the beautiful forest in??? i was devasted to see it burned to a crisp when i visited 3 years ago. I used to go to Spetses from 1974 to 1988 every summer.
