It couldn't. Which is why I actually prefer the "censored" version. It actually makes more sense. And Albedo getting a gun out of nowhere comes across as unintentionally comical.

I appreciate how tastefully the censorship was done in Episodes I and II so much so that I couldn't tell they were censoring it, but Episode III was ridiculous. Especially the scene in Labyrinthos when those crazy realians attacked. In Episode I they showed the inside of Shion's mother's room and there was blood everywhere, but NONE in Episode III when they show it happen... I would have gladly taken a mature rating because it took away from the story.
