@clemdane yes i checked it all on imdb and what you say appears to be true. i saw Josey Wales on tv not long ago and realized for the first time what a subtley great performance the the late John Vernon put in as Fletcher.

@jasonwheel I'm pretty sure the bounty hunter in Josey Wales was John Davis Chandler and he is not credited for The Long Riders...

@clemdane interesting possible fact. there's a scene from Clint Eastwood's The Outlaw Josey Wales posted. it can be found under "i had to come back". a bounty hunter provokes a shootout with Wales/Eastwood and gets blown away. i think he may be the same guy who plays the lead Pinkerton against the Carradines. same circumstances and ending. he's a little younger in 'Wales' but looks similar besides. i'd be interested to know what you think. i'm too lazy to track it thru imdb.

@clemdane that movie was recently reposted in its entirety (minus the Ry Cooder music) on the tube. another scene posted separate is the shootout between the Pinkerton's and the two Carradines on horseback. keep clicking and you'll find it.

@jasonwheel I love that scene too...Funny thing is he was supposed to be Native American in The Long Riders (another of my favorite films of all time.)

Thanks for all the info. about "The Warriors". I finally watched it and it was a hoot. Especially the gang with the baseball uniforms and the clown makeup.
