Warning: This video may contain dodgy 1980s dancing and fashion! I think the song is wonderful tho`! Whilst this version of the song was released in 1985 (producer Norman Mighell) there is an earlier version on the first JJJ "Live At The Wireless" recorded in 1983 (Australian band, Aus radio station). The guitarist with the lovely Rickenbacker is Geoffrey Datson. (www.stickylabel.com.au).
Other band members:
Mark Foster - vocals and guitar
Phil Beckett - Drums
Iain Colley - Percussion
Jerome McClintock - Bass
Many thanks to JSM2420 for the band info.

  • By the way, Geoffrey was the guitar player with the mo but he too has a myspace page.

  • Thanks so much for taking the time to correct my incorrect band info. All the best for the myspace band page. I look forward to checking it out when it`s up and running.

  • cool, i have this on 12", always preferred the JJJ version though.

  • We now have our own samurai trash yourube channel with clips of a recent reunion gig.

  • Dodgy my ass!

The 80's was THE ultimate for dancing and expression! UNLIKE NOW!

  • I saw these guys play at the Newcastle Hotel (now demolished for apartments) in 1985 just prior to the release of this single. They were great. I just typed 'Samurai trash' and....:-)

(I had a complilation of inner Sydney bands with another tune or two of theirs on there too.)

  • I was the bass player in this band. This version of the song was released in 1985. The version on Live at the Wireless LP was, believe it or not, recorded live for the wireless in 1983. Thanks for finding this video. If you are intersted I'm starting up a myspace for samurai trash whenI get enough material.

  • ah great memories
