can i connect this router to any isp, and if so do you thunk it will make me have green bar all the time in Halo 3

@JMEND2A Router should connect to all ISP's, but its best to check with the ISP first just incase. Not sure about green bars in games, as I've said before it depends on your ISP and WiFi layout in your house.

Like to know ehther this device supports VPN (Connect to Corporate network while at home) ? Many peopls are saying it does n't support. Also does it support bit-torrent to download movies etc?

@sshtty01 It definitely supports bit-torrent and P2P, however I can't comment on the VPN because I don't use it. Sorry mate.

No, the Netgear does not include a modem of any description. It's a wireless router with 4 port Gigabit switch. Generally, all-in-one modem/router solutions are shitty.

@patizel1 This router does not have a phone line for ASDSL for instance if you have a 2wire router from a dsl company or a slandered asdsl modem you could still use this as your primary router and just have the other ones set for internet pass-threw. I used to do that with my old 2wire and DIR-655 until I moved to the city and got cable! Also side note if you do not do a internet pass-threw you will have 2 sets of firewalls that could block traffic for like gaming and normal computing ..

@FelixDaFeline The router has a very nice QoS built in and works very nicely, Have all the consoles here and having the wife on here pc and mine downloading and doing some gaming on the side no lag at all and smoothing along nicely ...

@sshtty01 No vpn on main firmware, dd-wrt fixes it and with the universal plug in play for torrents it auto opens the ports on main firmware and dd-wrt ... its a very nice feature ...

@sshtty01 I have one myself and it does not support vpn unless you setup the port forwarding to vpn on your desktop ... However I would recommend DD-WRT this router... Despite the risks especially if your are still within your 30 day return policy ... After I DD-WRT mine I was able to setup vpn server right off the router itself in no time at all ... little side note when setting up make sure you put the host name to you dns name, and the domains to the same to keep them on the same network ...

Where do you get the telstra modems? I need a new one
