Empty shop windows in the heart of York are being transformed into works of art - with more creative works set to appear all over the city centre in the coming weeks.
This Wednesday (August 26) will see the first set of fantastic digital designs unveiled as part of the new project called Windows of Opportunity.
Seamless Media, designer Matt Mellor and Vorm Graphic Design creators of the first three windows - were chosen following a competition launched on the website flickr.com earlier in the year.
Now other artists and designers are being asked to submit their digital designs via the internet, with the hope of transforming more empty windows into street galleries.
Organisers York Museums Trust, City of York Council and Visit York hope the initiative will improve the appearance of empty shops, add to the citys vibrancy and also provide exposure for contemporary designers.
