Lifesavers with Pride is the national body of gay and lesbian lifesavers of Australia and their friends. Each year the organisation enters a float in the world famous Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras. This visibility breaks down common perception and show surf lifesaving as a welcoming organisation for all.
This year lifesavers from across Australia will join their NSW colleagues and march in the parade's 30th anniversary.
The exact float details will be revealed on Saturday, 1 March but the crowd of 300,000 can expect a lot more than last year, and in the case of swimwear, a lot less. This year's theme: 'whether you're gay, straight or lesbian; whatever floats your boat, surf lifesaving is for everyone!'
How dare you tarnish the reputation of this iconic Aussie sport.

In the interest of fairness and accuracy shouldn't there be a disclaimer indicating that the boat crews pictured are not members of your organization, and in the vast majority of cases are heterosexual?

Why is it so hard to find any video or pictures of Aussie Lifesaving ...at least here, in the USA?
Thanks AussieBum, for your contribution.
