LINE UP: Mark Woerpel (vocals / guitar), Stevie Ray Draeger (guitar), Cary Kaylan (bass), Vin E (drums)

WARP DRIVE frontman Mark Woerpel has recording experience with BLACKFOOT. Guitarist Stevie Ray Draeger had been involved with the Milwaukee band THRILLS GALORE and bassist Cary Kaylan had played with the RUBY STARR band. Although the drummer in this video is Vin E, the drummer from the album, Mark McConnel had previously played with MADAM X with his Canadian compatriot and good buddy SEBASTIAN BACH of SKID ROW fame with whom the drummer had worked together in the Toronto club band VO5.

BLACKFOOT's Doug Bare contributed keyboards to the album, two tracks of which were produced by Rick Medlocke of BLACKFOOT. The bulk of the record was co-produced by Ben Grosse and Mark Woerpel. The album was first released independently by the group in their native Wisconsin before being picked up for release in Europe by the French Link label. In Britain the record was licensed to Music For Nations.

Mark McConnel turned up in ex-SKID ROW singer SEBASTIAN BACH's solo group towards the end of 1997.

  • Warp Drives long shelved 2nd CD called "Something To Believe In" will be out this summer via AOR Boulevard Records along with a newly recorded bonus track. Keep an eye out for it

  • Mark has posted a compilation of their new CD on YouTube. Go to the search bar and type in Warp Drive Something To Believe In 2nd cd

  • Just to add, The 2nd UNRELEASED Warp Drive CD titled Something To Believe In is now available via Download on Amazon, Napster, Rhapsody and iTunes. I HIGHLY recommend it. If you liked this Bang The Drum video and the first Warp Drive CD Gimme Gimme from 1989, then you'll LOVE "Something To Believe In". It was recorded in 1991-1992 and never released until NOW!!!

  • This is a much better rip of the video than I previously posted here. Enjoy!
