Oh, he went to war, so that means he deserves to be president? I got news for you - there are a lot of people at war right now. There are people that are way worse off right now than McCain ever was.
You don't have to go to war to be president. Obama is willing to see the soldiers as people that miss their families and just want to get back to their regular lives. McCain would have you and your loved ones drafted so fast it ain't even funny. He doesn't seem them as people - only as tools.

People give Palin an unfarily hard time IMO. Mind you I would NEVER vote for her for president, but she started in the PTA and worked her way up to Governor. I have respect for earning something the hard way rather than being born with a silver spoon up his/her ass.
From the McCain campaign's view, the choice did make political sense, at least on paper. Young woman to balance out the old white guy on the ticket. Against the young black guy and old white guy on the other ticket. *shrugs*
