Velho Amigo - Baden Powell - Brazilian Guitar- Classical - by Marcelo Farjalla

My first attempt at recording a solo classical piece. This is a beautiful waltz called "Velho Amigo" (Old Friend) by Baden Powell. The sad thing is I have known how to play this song for a few years now but technically never progressed enough to feel good about recording it. In fact all the classical pieces I know i am not technically proficient enough to perform them. I guess this is why classical players are so dedicated to practice....which I am not. Anyway, I have decided to post this recording anyway just to track my progression since I have started my classical studies this month. I am self-teaching myself using the Tarrega studies. We'll see....I am also playing with the idea of paying for some classes at the local Classical Guitar society. I think I need that to truly learn the methods and progress correctly. But after 20 years of learning on my own its difficult to listen to an instructor....but I will try.
