Tap the main power of the XBOX 360 very easily using a standard 4 pin molex connector and easy solder points.

  • how if we have that set up with two of the 4 pin mulex connecters. will it just slow down the xbox if i have alot of stuff running from that

  • It should not slow down the Xbox 360. You are taking it directly off where the PS attaches to the system. The worst that could happen if you have too many loads or a short is that you would blow the PS.

  • Fans, Temerature monitoring system, water pump systems. Anything that runs on 12 VDC or 5 VDC

  • @bmxanrchy127 use flux so it flows better

  • So it will give power only when you turn it on? and do you nee to put something on it so it doesnt short on the chassis or what, im sorry im dumb :)

  • @kaysniper yeah

  • i tryed to solder wires to it and couldnt. i didnt know if i should have put alot of solder on there because i didnt want to ruin the points. Also what kind of solder do you use? i use rosin core 60/40

  • @chlano5411 or use a y cable

  • You know, there's a reason there are so many pins for only two sources - it's to be able to send all the current the unit needs. Your hack is probably going to make the 360 struggle at lot with getting enough ampere at full load...

  • are 9 and 10 ground?

  • i did the 12 volt molex power and the xbox starts, 4 lights come green then fan fastens up then 2 red lights come...

    HELPP

  • hey man...I got a question...

Can I run a molex Y splitter to run the fans and a water pump at the same time from that spot?

Or is it better to run them off seperate points?
