1966 Mercury Comet Cyclone GT Pacecar

Beautiful, restored example! Pacecar for the Indy 500 race in 1966. The color combination is striking...the owner tells me the underside is just as nice as the topside. This was when Comet definitely had a different identity from Falcon...and as such, it had a loyal following. If only the bosses at Ford had fostered that separate identity...we might have Mercury today!

thanks for all the comments on my cyclone conv. I just found the vidio tonite, it still needs a few things to be orignal, some stuff is hard to find. we do love to cruise the Daytona B area in it.
