After eight years together, Keith Olbermann and MSNBC are parting ways. The prime-time host made the surprising announcement at the end of his "Countdown" show on Friday.
Absolutely NO chance Fox will ever hire Olbermann. I mean, ever *again". He worked for Fox before his MSNBC gig. And was fired from Fox as well. Same story when ESPN canned him. He'd burned so many bridges during those employment experiments that he was the only former ESPN anchor not invited back for any of their anniversary reunion shows. NBC sports fired him from Sunday Night Football. Rupert Murdoch himself today said that Olbermann wouldn't be hired by Fox as they don't rehire those fired.
LOL MSNBC is being taken over by Comcast who benefits from Conservative legislation. He seen future conflict inc and descided it was time to part ways for good. He will find a new medium and will return to his loyal fan base. This man single handedly MADE the MSNBC News Network a reality. What a shame GE, Comcast and other corperate intrests can't stomach a truth talking humanitarian Liberal in thier midsts. Comcast is gonna ruin this once awsome Liberal News outlet.
Yes, this is a huge story! The new owners of MSNBC obviously benefit from right wing, anti avg American, anti tax, conservative beliefs. (As do all corporations), I'm terrified that, as huge corporations come to own all the airwaves, that honest reporting, and veil-lifting, like Keith's, will become a thing of the past, and what will remain is every news outlet will be just Luke faux news, a 27-7 commercial for the rnc. Terrifying. All the lies from douchebags at faux will become the norm
Keith was bought out of his contract. GE got tired of their company being associated with Keiths hate mongering long ago and the new owners that take over Monday do not want their company being associated with someone seen by many Americans as hating this country. It is believed that in exchange for the millions of dollars Keith agreed not to have another show for some time, perhaps even the 2 years his original contract still had left.
