  • Very nice video!

I also watched the video's on your website and have to say they are the best i have found about violinmaking. I love the way you have your own style/ opinion about the building. I think i have chosen the wrong profession...

  • Glad to hear that you are enjoying the videos . . many thanks!

  • Thanks, this has been very helpful. I'm planning on making my own violin for my first instrument instead of buying mass produced junk.

  • Thats wonderful ...you will enjoying playing it far more having made it yourself !

  • i don't know why everyone was trying to prove the guy wrong about electric tools. Its probably a belief on a personal level, like people say food taste better when cooked with love. But who knows? There are still violins around from Amati in the 1500s

  • Beautiful... artistic... spiritual.

I'm most interested in your authentic varnish as my sister has a very old violin which needs some loving care.

Thanks for your wonderful videos and for the good karma :)

Electromagnetic waves don't affect wood at all (at the naturally ocurring levels).

On a different matter, I've got a question for you Brian: what proportions of cooked balsam and walnut oil do you use for your varnish? I'm most in
