  • com'on folks! this is live, a performance on stage, not a studio version, where they cut and correct a hundred times, she's acting, moving, not focusing on a mic, and you never know about other things happening behind or on stage, not seen by the audience. She's doing a very good job!!!I'm also a professional singer on international stages and I know how difficult it is! People expect us to sing like on CDs but they are ALL faked, ithey are not real!

  • I loved her yesterday. i saw her live at the met and she was AMAZING.

Amami Alfredo sent shivers throughout my whole body. No other soprano who has sung Travata has done that for me. not even, sad to sy, joan sutherland whm i love with my whole being. I think she has an understanding of the more emotional parts of the score than the pyrotechnic parts..

plus...she sung Addio del Passato NOT in mezzo forte! thank god. Piano and pianissimo all the way! that high C was just...i have no words

  • @RVP57 Thank you!!! :)

  • How do you compare her with Anna Netrebko's Violetta?

  • Wow doesn't seem like she's holding back yet sounds like there's plenty left in the tank! I just listened to her Elsa yet this Violetta shows the sheer power in the voice to greater advantage

well done and thank you for posting

  • Excellent. What a tonic to the current crop of frauds. How wonderful to hear honest singing instead of the self-indulgent crooning of Renee Fleming or the pained non-vocalism of Natalie Dessay. Brava Harteros!

  • Bravissima!!! How have I missed a singer of this stature? She gave me goose bumps and made me cry in a piece that bores me to death even when performed by the greatest opera legends. The voice is simply thee most beautiful and expressive to come along in Modern Times. I have not heard this level of correct phrasing and emphasis since Leontyne Price. Of course there are a few minor quips, but nothing of major importance. This is a singer for me! Simply amazing. I wish her the very best!
