Would Al Qaeda really be afraid of the Prius?

Prius owners sometimes have an overblown sense of the value of their cars. Some of them have bumper stickers reading "Al Qaeda hates this car".

Would they? Really? This really doesn't make any sense. It's more likely that Al Qaeda would love fuel efficient cars like the Prius.

Eh? The reason is simple. Al Qaeda is upset because the West is interfering with the middle east because the West needs oil. If the West were to be using less oil we'd have less need to be interfering with the middle east. Hence the best route is to use less oil such as would happen with wide use of the Prius or other fuel efficient cars.
