This is a meaningful song to me...probably everyone that likes it. If my buddy Boyd is around, he needs to be present when I play this song, it doesn't feel right without him there. He's the reason I play this song. At his house one day a few years back we were hanging around and playing with his little 3/4 Fender acoustic he'd been learning to play on and he had the chords to this song printed out and was trying to figure them out, so I looked at them with him and was figuring out how I thought it to be...and the rest is good time history. I started practicing it and he made me play it all the time when we were hanging out at the ranch...so it's one of our "home" singalong songs. It already was a meaningful song anyway...but now we can play it and sing it together. Tons of fun. Thanks Boyd! The breakdown at the end in this video is lacking because for the longest time I relied on him to help me with that. I'm getting better with it. Not bad for a "jam" song that's never the same at the end anyway when they play it. OAR is great. :) Maybe someday I'll get to capture a version of this when we're all hanging out and singing together. Haha.
Here's to good times...
