  • Charlotte?

  • nice! not too ricey or loud i like it!

  • over all, in terms of performance/technology, nissan i think did a good job with their new intelligent CVT in auto/manual modes.

  • o yeah the e320 4matic i used to have did that. it also only let me shift 4 gears and when i tried to get to 5th, it went to auto. i think the bmw 335i was delayed in manual mode too, but i dont remember, it wasnt mine in my video, but i got a lot of time to test out its performance so its all good

  • cool, a rental ES i got from lexus apparently does the same thing your G3e does, It takes about one second to shift gears. and when I put it in manual while driving, it starts from th 4th gear instead of the 1st!

  • the Ds mode definitely holds the revs higher, but i havent gotten too into it since im still breaking in the car, but even in D its impressive. it doesnt need to rev high to give me good acceleration, and the most impressive thing to me is the manual mode. unlike the manual mode in the G35, there is no delay whatsoever. as soon as i upshift in the maxima, it switches gears without hesitation.

  • cool, the differences in the engines/exhaust are that the 350Z and the G35 use the VQ35HR "high rev" instead of the VQ35DE. so the redline for the maxima is 6500 rpm and the 350Z/G35 is 7500. for that sweet spot i think its the CVT's fault. speaking of CVT, how is nissan's new intelligent CVT with the Ds mode?

  • i share it with a family member, and the exhaust is definitely more like the g35 than the fx or 350z. while the exhaust tips look bigger overall than the g35, they arent very loud, and the engine itself doesnt sound as nice as the 306hp engine in the 350z/g35. its slightly different and as far as sound while driving it doesnt have that sweet spot at around 3200rpm like the g
