  • every fighter who has not been beaten in a very long time or is undefeated will always have an aura of being invincible and this plays to their advantage in every fight. confidence and the presence of fear ensues his opponent.

till they phase of defeat, that's when you know what they really are. a former champion or a legend.

the path to downfall occurs when evolution stops, if his game remains the same then there is a blueprint to defeat.

  • Additionaly, after UFC IV, the Grand Master Helio Gracie public advertised all of the Ju-jutso competitors to do not accept combats with time limit, limited number of rounds and rules to avoid full contact. In Helio´s mind, the Ju-jutso figthers can only exercise their techniques when the combat is similar to real combat. Guys like Rickson and Royce should never get in to combats with time limit. Watch Royce vs Dan Seven in the end of UFC IV and you will understand why.

  • Rickson, you are awesome dude! I miss training with you, and I miss the long conversations. The friendship will last forever my teacher!

  • @Arealmartialartist1 Yea his record is slightly bloated. Ok more than slightly. Yea mounting someone with shorts is not a good idea. I won that fight, but my knees were really scraped up. With pants your fine with shorts I would avoid it this time. Anyways I'd avoid fighting now anyways I'm getting too old for that kind of nonsense.

  • @xmanrules2001 I got a few friends who train bjj. I expressed my opinion and I never said it was not effective. I said it was certain things I would not do and I don't believe in Rickson's record.

  • @Arealmartialartist1 YEs my it's under Xavier Cabrera I a sent you a request. Dont be so closed minded is all im saying. I beleive a shank is knife. LOL

  • @xmanrules2001 Ok dude but you sound like an ass and I don't believe you. Do you have a facebook page? I can send you an invite. Oh one more thing I have done grappling matches and cage fighting and you will see that on my page. Go to facebook look up Javon ZenMaster Marable. Competed in my teens and early 20' but I focus mainly on the street. Don't care if you 48 I will still call you Son. And as I said before you probably from the suburbs. Tell me former officer, what is a shank?

  • @Arealmartialartist1 My challenge to you is to visit a Renzo Gracie or his studio and see if what you do works. I've trained in Wing chun and I find it unrelaistic. There is a reason the military now has their soldiers training in BJJ. Also the LAPD LA Sheriffs dept and many other polilce departments doing BJJ not Kali wing chung because it works. Sometimes even if you don't want to roll on ther ground you have no choice.

  • @Arealmartialartist1 Hey buddy I am 48years old. I'm a former cop. I've done privated security. I used to manage some of the best clubs and strip clubs in LA and trained the security staff. Ive been put in the position to use what Ive learned which has allowed me to figure out what works best. As far as growing up in Baltimore i have no idea what that has to do with anything. I grew up in LA California. Obviously you believe in styles becuause you don't know believe in the effectivness in BJJ.

  • @xmanrules2001 Sorry bro as I said before grew up in Baltimore MD. I am not some kid from the suburbs which you probably are. Trust me been in many street fights. You are a dumb as if you think rolling around on concrete is good for your body. Trained in Wing Chun, Judo, boxing and more. Don't believe in any styles. I am guessing you don't know anything about street because who said anything about big ass knifes? Tell me son do you know what a shank is?

  • @Arealmartialartist1 To go on with what I'm saying there are diffrent elements to street fightin. While Kali is fine martial art when it comes to street fighing with sticks and knives you still need to know your ground game. Is there a guarantee you win with just Gracie Jiu jitsu alone? No of course not there are no guarantees, but I assure you if a kali master has a knife and I have a gun i win, but it still dosen't invalidate kali. Quit being so close minded you might learn something.

  • @Arealmartialartist1 Yea I am also talking about street fighting. But sometimes you cnat carry big ass knifes with you all the time fool. Also if someone is ontop of you pounding away good luck trying to grab something. Believe me Ive fought people in the streets so have alot of my friends adn Gracie Jiu jitsu allows you to pick where the fight goes. You forgot there are also guns in the streets. Its obvious you have never been in a real street figh.
