  • I'll have to check this cave out. I love the Superstitions. Thanks for posting the directions.

  • @UrbanExplorationAZ Hi UE, thanks for the comment and subscription; your channel looks very interesting! This is just a tiny cave, but the Supers in general are terrific to hike - I love it out there also.

  • Where exactly was this cave? This looks like the one described in the legend. And it also looks like another one I found on a website. This weekend I am going there, and was wondering where was this cave located? thank you

  • If you take the Cross Cut Trail (located off 88 just past the State Park) and head up the mountain, once you pass the 3rd bench along the trail and it becomes steep, as you walk up towards the needle formation, you'll pass a large boulder that is sort of like a shelter, then you'll come to the cave. If you find some gold let me know! :) Happy trails to you.

  • Most welcome, any time, happy to help. 60 East I forgot to say. Along 88 past Apache Junction are some good stands with beef jerky also, good for the hike. Right now is best time ... perfect weather! The dirt road to the trailhead often floods after a rain. First Water has two loops hikes, not up the mountain but great hikes also. $4 to park there.

  • Thank you so much this will save a lot of searching around lol. Ill put videos up when I finally get around to doing it. THanks

  • OK you can turn right into Lost Dutchman State Park and hike from there, however, I recommend continuing on 88 past the Tonto Nat'l Park sign and taking the next right for trailheads 'Crosscut' & 'First Water'..dirt road. Go 1/2 mile to Crosscut trailhead. Hike to the mountain from there. Pkg is free. When you go up the mtn, bear left you'll go past the cave and up next to 'praying hands' formation. You'll reach a flat plateau. Trail continues across flat rock, hard to see but is there. Enjoy!

  • LOL! That's the first time I've been called "sissy"! LOL. Okay, you want to take State route 60, the Superstition Highway to the Idaho Road exit. Go north on Idaho about 3 miles or so to the Apache Trail road, which is also called SR-88. There's a great chicken joint called Philly's you will pass on the right and you'll pass the Museum also on the right. You'll pass the Ghost Town tourist trap on the left, it's fun but is a tourist trap too lol. Out of text space continued in next comment...

  • GO in you sissy! lol I can't wait to hike that mountain. Any suggestions on where to start and how to get there?
