Kudos for you for recognizing it and taken action. I had my locs for almost 11 years before I combed them out. I honestly thought since my hair was locked, I didn't have to take care of it so my hair suffered. I know better now and I'm on a healthy loose natural journey. Best wishes!

@creativelyanalytic Thank you. Luckily I was taking care of my locs. I am finding during my takedown that my manic moisturizing while in locs was great for my hair. Healthy hair is better than any length you could ever achieve. If healthy, I think the length follows.
