those who like to sit in a chair meditating is for the most part beginners, it is hard to sit in full lotus for them, or even half lotus, then a chair would help, but these legs are to short, if I sit in this chair with my feet on the ground, my knees would be in breast height. wich is far to much and not a comfortable position if you want to meditate a longer period, it should have adjustable legs
