  • "We *use* articulation; we don't want to *show* articulation. [...] You think of *what* you have to say, and not *how*." — now, there's a lesson from the great master himself that many would-be baroque "specialists" seem to have trouble following.

  • Oh my God, the great Gustav

  • ... a great personality and expert of J.S.Bach interpretation on Cembalo left us. R.I.P.

  • Holy cow! Is that THE Gustav Leonhardt?! This certainly will prompt me to listen to his recordings and performance for the rest of the week!

The value of his instructions, are really valuable and i reckoned that this will be useful to even the mordern pianist, for example - the articulations.

  • The great Leonhardt ! The Lion Heart of the Music !!!!

  • He is so great!

  • "We USE articulation; we don't want to SHOW articulation."

"You [ideally] think of WHAT you have to say, not HOW... I think it was too clearly heard HOW you did it."

    Brilliant.

  • @wolfgang7445 : Why must so many comments suffer the reductionism of ´OMG´ ?

  • ¿Alguien sabe dónde puedo conseguir la película en la que Leonhardt interpreta a Bach?
