Frankie & Cass 1989--We All Agreed You Need a Vacation

Cass finds Frankie fiddling with the thermostat with a screwdriver and complaining that it's too hot in the office. He insists that cool air is blowing through the vents, so Frankie salutes him and stops messing with the thermostat. He asks her why she's not out tailing Lucas, and she replies that she had some things to do, some important things. Then Cass notices that his desk is completely cleared off and asks what happened to it. "It looks good, huh?" Frankie asks enthusiastically.

"It looks neat," Cass replies.

"Yeah!" Frankie exclaims.

"I HATE neat!" Cass says.

"Oh. Sorry," Frankie replies.

Cass asks where all of his current case files are, and Frankie tells him that Stacey has a few and Zack has a few because they all agreed Cass needs a vacation. Cass says he'll decide when he needs a vacation, and this is not the time for him to take one, because those are his clients, and he has quite a backlog since Felicia's trial, and the revelation about Nicole killing Jason, have put him so far behind. Frankie insists that Cass is no good to anyone until he's had a vacation. Cass asks her if she's nuts, then tells her if she doesn't stop trying to run his life, she'll be looking for a new job. I LOVE the face Frankie makes at 1:15, as she reflects that this is going to be a lot harder than she thought, since Cass is now looking for his case files.

While Cass continues to look for his case files, Frankie calls in reinforcements: she calls Felicia at home without letting Cass know she's talking to Felicia, asking for Felicia's help in "that matter we discussed." Felicia tells Frankie she's on her way, and hangs up. After hanging up the phone, Frankie can't hide her smile as Cass continues to look for his files.
