the ticking usually comes from detonation which means you need to run 92 octane or maybe you need to tighten your crank pulley a they tend to lossen on these cars for some reason they sound alot like that when loose

@w00tb0ss alot of that ticking is caused by using gas that has too low of octane the na uses 92 and up

My car is pretty old and has old engine, 200,000 miles. Second engine. It is classic supra problem though i hear. Something in the top end of the engine, doesn't affect the car though as far as i know.
