I agree, it is totally unethical for potential employers to snoop into people's facebook and myspace accounts and believe that this is an accurate representation of the person they'll have working for them. To me, this is an attempt by companies to scare people and control them in their non-work related time. Also, the businesses do not have a good grasp on the context. In my opinion, if it's not in a criminal record, it shouldn't be allowed to be considered by employers.
