Ascendance

An Anime tinted, live-action opening sequence for a longer movie/series in wich the main characters and the world they live in are introduced.

Graduation project for the Utrecht school of the Arts in Holland, made by Dorus van Lieshout and Ivar Posthumus.
Education: Master of Arts in Image synthesis & Computer animation.

Because Isas discovers the fake freedom of the system in wich he lives, his perception on reality changes. This enables him to discover an alternative universe.

"Day in day out... the same repetition,
the same focus, the same roads...
Lost without a clue where this path may take us.
Is there a way out? Would I grab it if I had the chance?
Would I be able to see it if it was in front of me?
As long as my mind is still free,
I am able create my own path..."
