A US contractor has been killed in Afghanistan in what is thought to be the first ever insider attack there by a woman.

It happened at a police headquarters in Kabul.

A female in police uniform entered the heavily-fortified compound and opened fire on the American man.

Al Jazeera's Jennifer Glasse reports from Kabul.
