We did a manta snorkel on Kona in August 2009 and it was amazing. I just wish the other boats hadn't brought so many people and had everyone wearing fins.

man this song brings back so much happy memories, it was a song my class performed in kindigarten. And wow i wud wana jump on one of those manta rays lol

swimming with the mantas was so much fun just did for the first time off the sheraton a week ago

Idk...I would be freaked out...

Touching, grabbing or just being in their way can make them really shy. Touching the rays could also remove the protective coating on their skin and leave them susceptible to infections.

why are u advising not to touch the mantas? Sorry i dont know much about diving or mantas.

Was the manta ray huge? :o

sweet dive. i cant wait to get fully certified. I just did a dive at Blackrock Maui with the giant sea turtles. but this looks really fun as well.

It's the sweetest dive indeed, reason enough to get certified - one of the best experiences i've had in the water. Just try not to touch the mantas even when they come really close to you. Enjoy!
