  • I think all hot peppers are beneficial in the same way as the Cayenne family. Hotter varieties like Scotch bonnets and Habaneros offer work even better ... the only issue is the intensity of the burn. If someone is sensitive to the 'pain' or heat of eating those peppers, they should start with milder ones. I eat fresh hot peppers nearly daily with food. I usually eat Cayenne and Thai because its more tolerable but some days I really want to sweat so I'll grab a Habanero.
