  • what would the average person use this for?

  • @SHS3630 retrieivng fishign line caught in a tree or schrubs, getting rope or other material out from behind somethign like a kitchen appliance or stuff that dropped into water you can get in, numerous other purposes

  • what is eod

  • @stealth1692 explosives ordinance disposal, basically the bomb squad

  • i wanna see it break when im climbing my school, what kind of rope do you recommend useing that will suppose around 110 pounds? without breaking.

  • Its not mean for people to use to clime anythgin liek a traditional grappling hook so I dotn know what it coudl take before breaking, its mean for the EOD guys over in Iraq for demolitions...howveer for cord, 550 cord holds just that 550 lbs...but I woudl NOT recommend trying to climb a building with this little guy, it was not meant for that...

  • i just bought one *smileyface*

  • though i still wouldnt advise to use this for climbing, if you throw this over a branch and the grappling hook hooks onto its own rope when it slings over it, the friction between the cord and branch will take almost half youre weight or so and the grappling hook probably will hold. but i still wouldnt advise climbing high things like buildings.

  • From your experience could you use these or the larger one to hoist up game to field dress it or hang large packs such as "alice, molle etc...."?

  • @zanuha What a well-thought out response. Since you're such an expert, would you care to enlighten me on how MANY parachute cords are used in a single GI parachute? Or whether parachute cord is indeed still used for that purpose? Look into the specifications of climbing rope and the reasons for them.

  • @mysss29

    Paracord=PARACHUTE CORD

  • how would you deploy this at james bond speed?

  • i got one sitting on my keys....idk when im gonna need it, but im glad i got it!

  • @cutlerylover or maybe when hiking hanging your personal stuff or food high up on in a tree , or for making a raised shelter on a branck orso ... numerous things altough most people would consider it useless as they cant come up with a better idea besides a ninja grapling hook ...

  • @cutlerylover 550 cord is a stupid climbing rope (no offense). Look into the specs for actual climbing rope...they hold up to thousands of pounds of shock load for safety. As you said about the hook, 550 cord is NOT meant for that. Thanks for the great reviews!
