I have to say, the XS makes a horrible shutter sound. I cant stand the mechanical whine sound that comes after the "click"

how is the quality of pictures the pictures at 1/4000 shutter speed?

@worldofnighthawk just as good as the slower shutter speeds just darker...but if you have a low light lens like an f/2.8 and crank up the iso to 1600...they look great

This was my first DSLR and I love it. I'm finally starting to get the itch to upgrade though. It lacks somewhat in low light situations. I love how little it weighs though, easy to toss in a pack for long hiking trips.

@cellphonecameraguy oh my god I know, the new batch of 5Dii's have a similar sound. When I spent $2500 I expected it to sound better than a $300 entry level DSLR. Oh well, it still does what its supposed to, cant complain :)

@ovv42331 I think I prefer the 6.3fps clicky shutter on my 50D :P

@TotalBizcut Changing your shutterspeed doesn't really change the speed of the burst until you get down to the 1s and slower shutterspeeds. if anything the 1/4000 should be clearer if you have enough light.
