  • Hey awesome vid man, i was actually planning on riding from the twin cities to silver bay and out around ely to bemidji and back down western mn coming up here once all the white stuffs gone :) how was lodging and gas and everything? I just saw all the twisties from the map on my iphone and figured id ask and see how you liked it

  • @sk8ererpunk5000 It is a great ride! Gas and lodging should be fine, as long as once you are up north you make sure you keep your tank full for the most part. I think you'll love the highway 1 near Ely. Also if you ride by Duluth make sure you hit up Jay Cooke State Park!

  • I used to run a log truck from the woods and go from hwy 1 to hwy 2 to the paper mill by two harbors. The locals in Ely can be real jerks. When your not from there but you move there from illinois they consider you a F.I.B. (f****** illinois Bast***). Didnt exactly make us comfortable staying there. But the land and wildlife was great! The vid really brought back memories of cruisin with 86,000 lbs. of 100 inch logs, nervous but enjoying the country! thanks!

  • @HiddenGeneral Thanks for watching and the comment!

  • how long did it take you to drive all to all those citys?

  • @captainmcduche The total trip was about 200 miles, so it only took me about 4 hours with a couple of stops to take a break.

  • I call it vomit road.

  • Okay awesome man, how are the LEO's up there? I kinda think of it being pretty secrete and quiet up there, did you have any problems or anything you'd give as advice, if you could do the trip again that you'd change?
