One Weekend A Month My Ass

I put together this video while I was serving in Iraq with the Wisconsin Army National Guard B co 724th Eng Bn. This video starts off by showing us deploying and then us serving in Iraq. The entire video is set to two music tracks that I mixed together.

Listen, with all due respect, to marines and active duty, im joining the national guard not because im lazy and not because im scared, but for the simple fact that helping other people in disaster relief or even when deployed over seas,that bringing a smile to at least ONE persons face is more rewarding to me than calling myself a marine. and I honor and respect you marines and active duty who do what you do full time, but at the same time I ask you do the same for the national guard guys too

Shoot, I've been working on getting in the Navy Reserve but the Army Reserve/National Guard looks badass... Maybe I should change over.

@Blake5186 Also, a lot of people don't know this but the Guard has Active Guard. Which is full time.

@Blake5186 I come from a family of 4 generations of Marines. My dads dad dad dad was the first to enlist, and so the ladder began. Both brothers enlisted in the Corps, one went force recon the other counter intel. All 4 of my dads brothers and my dad joined the Corps when they were 17. All served in NAM, some even in ODS. Needless to say, i've been raised on the Corps values, traditions and have had the mentality of a Marine given by birth. But i'm joining the National Guard.

Yeah, why do people call NGs and Reservists cowards? We just want be students or have civilian jobs AND be able to serve our country. Sure we can go active, but we also consider the strain on our personal families and relationships. =) God Bless.

Nice video buddy and thanks fr your service. I have one son at Benning now and the other one is going next month, both are in the Guard, in infantry. They are supposed to deploy to Afghanistan next august. I'm a former Marine and I told them to go whatever they wanted to, they are all kicking ass. Army, Marines, Air Force, Navy, I'm proud of all of em.

@Blake5186 haha dont worry all the real marines, AD soldiers, airmen, sailors..respect eachother there may be some hazing but its all in good fun and rivalry....the only people who really talk shit and say one branch is better than the other are "arm chair generals" so to speak..there ppl who are not in the military or will ever be because their just obese lazy turd wanna-be's thats all, wich means their just insignificant bacteria, pay them no mind.
