This trailer (one out of two) is made available on You Tube to, on distance, serve the press and other interested, in connection with the 43 hour long media installation and memory document "Voices of Khmer Rouge" exhibition at Bophana Audiovisual Research Center, opening 4 March 2011, in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, and in Beijing at AustroSinoArtProgram's exhibition during October/November 2011.
The 30 minutes are uploaded to give an idea about the style.
The 30 minutes are just close to 1% of the projects running time, and the stories in the trailer are as such not representative for the entire content of "Voices of Khmer Rouge.
Voices of Khmer Rouge is a media art work and a memory document, by Jan Krogsgaard & Thomas Weber Carlsen, where 30 former low ranking Khmer Rouge soldiers tell about their personal life experiences during the Cambodian civil war: their upbringing, actions, battles, thoughts, believes, feelings, secrets, ideologies, human values and life today.
The installation consist of 30 monitors, one for each storyteller.
