And look how much more articulate and look at their spelling compared to publicly schooled graduates. Most are slightly handicap in most areas of learning besides friends, partying and texting. These kids are given a different approach to life. To learn to work WITH natures, WITH themselves and WITH others in a harmonious capacity and instead of learning 1+1=2, they learn all of the aspects that makes 1+1=2 and analyze it from every angle in both structural and artistic ways.

steiner school ruined my life for a while because they found out i would not be quiet about something that happened to me because of a pupil there and they threatened me with a defamation of character and also the school therapist would break her silence a bout my problems and completely turned on me it was horrible and nasty i was only 14 i did not deserve that

@UndisclosedDesirable If you have kids and they become stressed and depressed over exams and not getting the expected grades, then tell me that mainstream education is still the way to go. These days 6 year olds are crying over the stress of exams...Steiner schools teach them to develop their own personality and live up to their own expectations, not others. Don't call them retarded...they aren't..my Fiance came from a steiner school and got all A's and B's in his GCSE's and A levels.

@thekeegan985 Hi, would you like spelling lessons or maybe just a hug? You seem to have unresolved issues. Might I suggest that you spend a little time talking to people about education in general and the Waldorf philosophy in particular. There are any amount of us that would be ready to help...

@thekeegan985 haha! by your spelling it would seem that you are uneducated!
uurm i go there and im just fine... maybe the education didn't work too well for them.
and anthroposophy is a lot more than that. the spiritual thing is an element of it, but by no means do they impose any kind of spiritual belief on the students. they focus heavily on teaching students to think for themselves and to question. also, academically, has won awards this year for best A level English results and GCSE German. so even if it is "very weird", it seems to work. it's a great school.

@UndisclosedDesirable We learn a huge variety of things in Steiner Schools. I learnt maths, writing, French, German, drawing, painting, knitting, sewing, baking, acting, singing, violin, woodwork, sports, English, gardening, amongst others. If you'd like any more information, just let me know.
I also don't appreciate being called retarded, but I suppose that's just your opinion.
(Your second sentence should have been: "They're too vulnerable". Just in case you were wondering!)
