great movie! I like it. I think he is better than the Russian version of ... prettier than a Russian film. A lot of philosophy in the Russian version and it is difficult and a bit boring to watch. I'm surprised that I liked the foreign film. great movie, great actors. But I like the two Lares: English Keira and Russian Chulpan; Russian Lara unusual, this is precisely what the book. Keira's Lara is different from the book. and two Komarovsky, but the doctor is better in this film.

horrible remake of a clasic

I dont think Keira Knightly did that bad herself. She was only 17 when she played that part which I think is some achievement.

Beautiful tragedy of a lost love.

@TheCatJoker You said it, but don't you think that the Irish suffered a similar oppression? The Germans invade Russia, take prisoners to a concentration camp, do the same to Poland. The English (which are generally made up of German people) enslaved the Irish and killed many.

I'm of Russian descent and from Russian royalty. I really appreciated this movie and the older version. The music is very beautiful and the acting is well done. Hans Matheson played an awesome Yuri!

i really liked this version. hans was amazing, as usual :)
I'm sorry but people of Irish descent can't pass for Slavs. There's more to being Russian than just being white and deeply emotional.

Keira is so lovely---and the music on here is so sad and touching. As hard as they tried, Lara and the Dr. were still torn apart in the end. Sad
