This video was taken on a paranormal investigation in Westfield, IN over several minutes. The orb appears in front of and behind some of the branches in the middle of a field, with all light sources very far away. The video was shot in infrared. In the beginning you can hear us trying to identify which tree we are recording, but we edited out the rest of the audio of us asking questions about what else this "orb" could be. A psychic investigator that was there that night suggested that it was a spirit curious about what we were doing.
I have been investigating since 2000 before "Ghost Hunters" made it popular. We look for reasons that video is unusual. It is also impossible for a piece of dust to hang around in a tree for 2 minutes, because of how dust moves. Also, dust has to be within 4 inches of the lens to be illuminated by the light source on the camera.

This seems more like a light from a flashlight than an orb. Obviously faked. It's 2d and the way it moves all differ from a true orb. People think that pictures with these 2d see though circles are orbs when in reality they are nothing more than dust particles reflecting light. True orbs move incredibly fast, has comet like trails, glow, and vanish as quickly as they appeared.

The only problem is that there was no flashlight up in the tree or street light in the distance. The tree faced a large corn field. This video was not intentionally faked, just unexplained, as I shot it myself. And as quickly as it appeared, it disappeared and I was unable to recreate the phenomena.

There are no such thing as "true" orbs, that can be defined and readily identified. If you think you know for sure what one looks like, then you are mistaken, or a college student that apparently knows everything. Orbs that move incredibly fast are usually bugs. Comet like trails are usually the cause of filming in low light conditions. Glowing can't usually be easily identified on film or video.

I don't see any evidence of this light being 'in front' of the branches. I see a blooming effect on a distant light which is out of focus. When you move the camera it won't appear to be behind the branches until the center of the source of light is behind...this gives the effect that the 'bloom' is in front of adjacent branches. Its also easy to see the focus have an effect when the camera tries to focus on the near, and brightly lit branch. Branches in focus, distant light source is not.

That is what we first thought, but it did not match up with any existing light sources. Then, as fast as it appeared, it disappeared and we could not recreate it. I did not move, so it should have remained as well, if it was from a distant stationary light source, which would have been visible to the naked eye.
