44. Peter Atkins - Beyond Belief 2008

Peter Atkins was Professor of Chemistry at the University of Oxford from 1965 until his retirement in 2007. He is the author of over 60 books including Four Laws That Drive the Universe; Galileo's Fingers: The Ten Great Ideas of Science; and the world-renowned textbook Physical Chemistry. He is involved in a variety of international activities including chairing the Committee on Chemistry Education of the International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry and organizing the Malta series of conferences.

This is from the Beyond Belief 2008 conference "Candles in the Dark." As the last installment of the Beyond Belief conferences, these videos address the most pressing topics of a society that truly aims at secularism at its core. Everything from human flourishing to politics are discussed at lengths by many of the greatest living minds.

There is no such thing as good, bad and then he babbles about true comprehension only through science. Science( an imaginary mental tool we use) is his god and this is his testimonial of worship.
