BBC Persian 15 06 09

This how I received BBC Persian tonight. This station uses the Hotbird satellite. In my country (The Netherlands) this is the most powerful satellite I can receive and I receive all stations without a problem. It looks like BBC Persian is jammed. The signal strenth is low and the picture and sound quality are poor.

Technical info: BBC Persian, Hotbird 11116 MHz V, dish 78 cm, receiver Topfield 5500PVR

And wow, recorded on my 16th birthday. Damn shame that they resort to jamming. Some republic they have, eh?

Ronlako, you're right, BBC Persian was jammed, and other channels on the same transponder were affected! BBC Persian gave up Hot Bird this afternoon, and now the other channels are fine.

good for you but in iran u cant enter bbc site, even if u use proxy with this bandwitch limit going on u cant watch it

I watched this station last monday. The signal quality was as bad as you show in this clip, until the BBC ended it's regular programming. The test card that was shown (and can be seen a lot of hours aday on this station) could be received without a problem. It seems Iran is only jamming this station when the BBC is showing some programs.

Just watch it on their website, the quality is very good. I am watching it through BBC Persian on my 32" monitor.
