On Nov. 26, 2010 in New York city, Vivian Beaumont Theater at LINCOLN CENTER, PLAY 'A FREE MAN OF COLOR' Leah Tunkara got complimentary tickets.
Leah recalls ' I had no ider who was in this play or what it was about, but like the normal wild vibe of my life, there I was sitting in the 4th row from the stage . Two actors in costumes apear on stage and I'm looking thinking 'who is that ? NO... NO COULD IT BE ?' MOS DEF ? !
I can not belivie my fucken luck, it is HE ! billed as just 'MOS' in the role of Cupidon Murmur and actor JEFFREY WRIGHT in the LEED ROLE Jacques Cornet !
I adoor this film actor !
The PLAY, was trying to be funny and politcal at the same time it had its moments, but for me it just did'nt work.
This was not our brothers best work. How-ever the costumes by Ann Hould-ward were wonderful !
I'm not a fan for ' forstist acting' but JOHN Mc MARTIN in the role of THOMAS JEFFERSON did a very good job.
