@ThePacificSam Didn't in the original movie/musical, it begin with them getting on a ship? Not totally sure it's been so long since I've seen the movie. I do know that the song was originally sung because the son was afraid of the guards, and there was no bad guy with illusion powers.

This is also from the time period when movies, songs and plays were all about becoming a good person. For example Disney had many songs where children would learn that teamwork is best, fears can be conquered, true love can be found, etc. I think personally, it's a good message to be sung to the world that you are just as strong as you (make)believe you are ;)

what the heck? if a freakin sea monster who breathes fire attacks you all your going to do is whistle!!! thats freakin idiotic! the original movie is wayyyyyy better!!!!!

@erocksursocks Maybe they were trying to troll the sea monster? :D
Or teach it perfect pitch? The sea dragon itself was an illusion, so I don't think it would have hurt them, especially since the bad guy said he was only trying to scare them, but yeah I agree whistling to a monster will probably not work out in that person's favor xD
