Finally got around to editing this footage taken two months ago from a college dance at Southeast Technical Institute here in Sioux Falls, SD . It was a collaboration with my good friend (and competitor) Jake Hill. Jake is a great turntablist DJ and always puts me to shame, but I admit I didn't get enough footage of him mixing and scratching. (Here's a link to Jake's YouTube Channel: http://www.youtube.com/user/bpmdjpro). Nothing crazy here, just a Wednesday night gig that we always like to perform at together...makes it easier to work a small and diverse crowd, not to mention it sure beats Jake and me mixing in his basement together.

  • awessome job how do those speakers sound?

  • @DjBrianProductions Thanks Brian. The speakers sound great for being priced under $1,000. The SXA 250 line is a bit "older" but EV still continues the line - if it's not broken why fix it?

  • I love the light setup could you have a list of everything you could its something i might look into! I'm still running moonflowers haha

  • @fizzstyles Thanks for watching man. We are using 2 Chauvet Q Spot 200 moving heads, 2 Chauvet colorstrips, and 4 Chauvet colorstrip minis. Everything is controlled via DMX with a basic 512 controller...I believe this one was Elation.

  • @musicaledge Thanks for the replay on the qspot could you run those masterslave without a dmx?

  • @fizzstyles Yes. But with new moving heads, most have built in programs (i.e. master slave like functionality w/ sound active) accessable via DMX (limited programming needed). This would be the recommended route to go even if you run just a cheap and simple DMX controller in my opinion. Will give you much more versatility and control for the small cost of a $200 DMX controller and a few cords.
