One he wrote at the reading the same night at Nightingale Lounge to elaborate on the original poem in regard to S. African govt arms manufacturer creating small round shiny cluster bombs which end up in the hands of children.
On December 26, 2009, Dennis Brutus—internationally renowned South African poet and human-rights activist who spent time with Nelson Mandela in Robben Island prison and years in exile from his native land because of his opposition to the Apartheid regime—died at the age of 85.
