many of her generation didn't write songs. Sometimes being a great interpreter is enough, which is something many of today's singers don't have. I don't know why I'm being so classy toward you after your childishness. I suppose it will make me look much better in comparison , lol.

This is good, but I much prefer Oleta Adams' version.

This is one of my favorite upbeat Shirley Bassey covers! As always, Shirley delivers a dynamic & superb powerfully rich version of this Billy Joel classic. I'm glad to see it's starting to get some view hits! Your picture show is wonderful, Jonas! (Thumbs Up for me!)

I think Shirleys rendition is better than Billys and Barbras , but I like mine the best, find it on my twitter , search lenny dwoskin former next door neighbor to Barbra in Brooklyn New Yawk Erasmus Hall 1959...

Great song about holidays!!!

lovely, but even though Shirley is one of my IDOLS, I think the best version is by Carmen McRae
With no disrespect to Billy Joel: Shirley's version of this song is far superior...it has that LaBassey signature. (New York is her favorite metropolis.) Great slideshow! You really gave it some thought before you selected photos. Very nice.
