  • How much weight can the pulleys safely take... ?

  • @thetruebrit85 i don't know...i put 60 lbs on mune for at least a year...but i weight about 150..... soaking wet...lol

  • I've just gotten an older TG & will try this modification. But what're some good lower body exercises to use w/ it? The company videos all seem to have extra accessories needed to work your ads & legs.

  • @Along1000m there is an easier way!! A really smart dude on here told me to just take off the covers plates at the bottom then just slide the bar thru....no holes to bore!

  • as for extending the incline,it was dangerous,u would slide off the seat if it was too steep and without support on the other side,it could topple over,I just bolted a length of box iron with more holes for higher levels but took it apart after seeing the reasons.it was almost vertical at one point,I wouldn't be surprised if the newest model steals my ideas hehe

  • @MrPaddydan that sounds cool....for a while I had the back of mine sitting

on a cinder block...made a big difference. I have another one that is a cheap model. Its called "ultra glide xl" its a little smaller than the TG but its a good machine too.I use it every morning...or the TG.

.there a dude that has a video thats good on YT..type "blasting the muscles on the total gym"...you should check it out.

  • 1st video with no DIY!

  • @Along1000m hook in your feet,do upwards sit ups, hold a weight if u want to your chest, flip around ,lie face down, feet secured to the pull up bar,and raise your head and upper body up,good for lower back, also hold a 5kg weight if u need extra sweat

  • Even with the covers on,there is a space to allow the wheels slide a bit left and right,as u just put the covers back on to check,so if that bothers u,get some 10mm washers

  • Just realised,if you do take off the covers to put a bar through, don't forget to add some washers, maybe 2 each side,or 4 or 5 on one side.otherwise the seat will slide a little left and right, you'll see what I mean, just look at the wheels

  • Shit,it slides a little left and right on the top of the seat too, annoying, gotta add more washers without taking the seat off so i know it fits tighter and less rocking

  • @MrPaddydan just added a few extra washers to the bottom wheels,no sliding left or right now,on mine, the top of the glideboard, wheels face out,but designed to face in at the bottom, dunno why as it causes a minor swaying

  • @Along1000m thanks for the compliment, take off the cover plates top or bottom.if you have big 20kg weights, they will only drag on the floor if u try use the bottom hole...also there are many ab excercises on tg on yt .gud luck,ps.I am an irish engineering on the doal, lifes a bitch

  • My slideboard tends to slide slightly to the left or right sometimes, its bit annoying,is that normal?...I wish it was more secure,im afraid the board could come off one day and ill get hurt maybe I will put a large washer on one side of the wheels to stop that movement
