  • These locos should have a 16-645 but not sure about the actual model. I am able to tell if they are at the yard just from their sweet distinct turbo whistle. just actually had a ride on it once and it notches up pretty good. I am anxious to come across the operator's manual but the drivers mostly don't carry them.

  • I love EMD engine sound. But what is the type of the loco's engine?...Romania's CFR Class 63/65 diesels are powered by EMD V8 710G3A two stroke engine.

  • Look at this fecker go toot toot

  • I have seen this loco in action and it seems to be really power. It is the most powerful locomotive owned by RSZ currently and is used for heavy freight haulage. Has anyone of you happened to come across its technical specs apart from horsepower, things like tractive effort, prime mover model etc?

  • Nice train, I like the color .

  • Actually, that's a GT36CU-MP, only 15 were built and they went to Zambia. They're rated at 3,500 H.P. Kinda' like the export version of the SD50.
